Orchidarium

A orchidarium was established in the year 2019 at KVK, Barpeta with an objective to collect different species of orchid available in this region and to make a model orchid hub for the district. More than 400 hundred nos. of orchid plants are cultivated covering an area of 200 sq.m under a shade net house. A total of 10 identified epiphytic and terestrial orchid varieties including local as well as hybrids are available in the orchidarium.
