Awareness programme on processing and value addition of jute was conducted at Kayakuchi gaon under Sorukhetri Block on 10th August 2021. The main objective of the programme was to improve the quality, increase productivity and value addition of jute fiber. Topics like- Environmental impact of Jute, economic importance of jute, uses of jute fiber and value addition etc, were covered. Exhibition & demonstration of different value added jute products was also organized. All the participants actively participated during the session. Participants expressed their gratefulness to the KVK for conducting the programme and requested the KVK to organize the training on product making from jute fibre for better understanding and skill development.
